Master of Science in BioethicsReeana Tazreean earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Health & Society from the University of Calgary in Canada and will pursue a Master of Science in Bioethics at Harvard University. She worked in the Domestic Policy and Public Relations/Communications teams at UNICEF Canada and consulted as a Health Innovation Architect. Her research focuses on advancing postoperative mobilization within an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery framework and examining health disparities. Her bioethical interest is investigating the ethical implications of global healthcare innovation co-created with youth. She enjoys creative writing, spin cycle classes, and acting in her free time.

Mike McGovern, Chair of Rotary International Polio Rotary International's Polio Eradication Campaign Mike McGovern has served as the Chair of Rotary International’s PolioPlus Committee since October 2014. In this role, he is the volunteer leader of Rotary’s largest humanitarian project, the global eradication of polio. Rotary is the spearheading partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative and has donated over $2.0 billion to ending polio and has worked with other partners to reduce the number of polio endemic countries from 125 in 1988 to 2 today. Mike also represents Rotary on the Polio Oversight Board. |

Kim Pedersen & Rick Silverman will speak about a recent volunteer mission they went on with Build Health International (BHI) which was founded by Jim Ansara. Build Health International in partnership with Partners in Health are currently building a maternal hospital in Sierra Leone West Africa. Rick helped build nursing stations and Kim helped with a library/ literacy program. |
